Solid Waste Disposal Plant

Deloro Resources Ltd. has signed a letter of intent with Mirex Energy Inc. to participate in up to a 25-per-cent interest in an oil field waste processing plant. The location has been acquired, power and other facilities to run the plant are on hand, and engineering and permitting are under way.

The plant will use a new, unique process which is environmentally friendly and greatly enhances the efficiency of treating oil field waste. Initial studies indicate that the use of this process could allow the plant to treat a minimum supply of 200 to 300 cubic metres per day. The processing fee per cubic metre for this waste is $85, which, when extrapolated, could show gross revenues of $25,500 per day or, assuming full use, could be approximately $9-million per year.

The in-house studies of the operating costs for the project and similar projects indicate that 40 per cent of the gross revenue would be a reasonable calculation for the proposed oil field waste processing plant. A more detailed study will be conducted over the next quarter period.
